The Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam, the women’s wing of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, continues to be a cornerstone of the parish’s spiritual and social life. Weekly prayer meetings held every Friday morning at the church include Bible study, devotional singing, and intercessory prayers. Special retreats and fasting prayers during Lent further deepen spiritual engagement.
Members actively participate in seminars, study classes, and various programmes organized at the diocesan and Malankara levels. The Samajam also extends financial support to families in need within the parish and the wider community, while hosting workshops on parenting, health awareness, and women’s empowerment.
Cultural events such as Onam celebrations and Christmas gatherings highlight traditional art and music. Members play a key role in organizing parish feasts, Parish Day, Parumala Padayatra and other church functions. Fellowship tours and picnics foster stronger bonds among participants.
Through these multifaceted initiatives, the Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam remains committed to its mission of nurturing faith, service, and fellowship among the women of the parish.
