The Akhila Malankara Orthodox Susrushaka Sangham (AMOSS) is the fellowship of altar assistants within the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. All Orthodox altar assistants who are members of the Church are eligible to join.
At Mar Elia Cathedral, AMOSS members play a vital role in the worship life of the parish. With dedication and reverence, they assist in the celebration of the Holy Qurbana and other services, extending their ministry across the Cathedral and St. Lazurus Church. Their faithful service ensures the smooth and prayerful conduct of liturgical life, strengthening the spiritual experience of the whole community.
Beyond their liturgical duties, AMOSS fosters discipline, fellowship, and spiritual growth among its members. Through regular gatherings, training sessions, and participation in diocesan and central programs, altar assistants are encouraged to deepen their knowledge of the Church’s traditions and to grow as faithful servants of Christ and His Church.
